Chronological age is the real time elapsed between your birth and now — and it's more than "this year minus your birth year". If your birthday hasn't happened yet this year, you're still a year younger. The calculator compares the day, month and year, borrowing across each when needed, and accounts for leap years and the fact that months have different lengths. That's why the result is exact down to the second, not a rough estimate.

How is chronological age calculated?
It's the exact time between your birth date and now — not just the year difference. If this year's birthday hasn't happened yet, a year is subtracted. The tool borrows across days and months and handles leap years.
How do I find my exact age in days or seconds?
Age in days is the total days between birth and today; in seconds it's that span in seconds. Both are shown live here, alongside months, weeks, hours and minutes.
Can I calculate my age on a specific date?

What about a 29 February birthday?
The exact-age maths counts real elapsed time, so leap-day birthdays stay accurate. In common years people usually mark it on 28 Feb or 1 Mar.
