Helpful estimates — not professional advice

We work hard to make our calculators accurate, and we show the formula behind every one. But a calculator cannot know your full situation. This page explains what our results are, what they are not, and when to bring in a professional.

1General information

The information and calculators on TryCalculatorz are provided for general educational and informational purposes only. By using the site you accept this disclaimer in full, together with our Terms & Conditions. If you do not accept it, please do not use the calculators.

2Estimates, not guarantees

Every result our tools produce is an estimate. It is calculated from the values you enter and from a published formula or standard, along with any assumptions noted on the page. That means a result is only ever as good as the inputs and assumptions behind it.

Real situations contain variables a calculator cannot see. We make a genuine effort to keep our methods correct and to check them against reference values, but we do not warrant that any result is accurate, complete, current or suitable for your specific purpose. Always sense-check an important figure, and where a page notes a limitation or assumption, take it seriously.

3Not professional advice

Nothing on TryCalculatorz constitutes professional advice, and no calculator is a substitute for a qualified expert who can assess your individual circumstances. Using a tool does not create any professional relationship between you and us.

The sections below highlight this for the areas where it matters most.

4Health & fitness tools

Health tools such as BMI, body-fat and calorie calculators give general estimates based on population-level formulas. They do not account for your medical history, body composition or individual needs, and are not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Consult a doctor or qualified health professional before making decisions about diet, exercise, medication or any health concern. If you may have a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services.

5Financial tools

Loan, interest and other money tools produce illustrative figures using standard formulas and the assumptions you enter. They do not reflect the exact terms of any real product — actual rates, fees, compounding, taxes and eligibility vary by provider and by your circumstances. They are not financial, investment or tax advice. Confirm real figures with the relevant lender or institution, and consult a qualified financial professional before acting.

6Engineering & project tools

Some tools — such as the aquarium glass thickness and volume calculator — apply real engineering formulas and can be genuinely useful for planning. They are still simplified models, and they cannot account for flaws in materials, imperfect construction, unusual loads, or site-specific conditions.

For anything with real safety or financial stakes — a large or custom tank, a load-bearing question, or any structural build — treat the result as a planning estimate only and have the final design reviewed and signed off by a qualified glazier, structural engineer or relevant professional before you build, buy or rely on it. You are responsible for the safety of what you construct.

7External links

The site may link to external websites or display third-party content. We do not control and are not responsible for the accuracy, content, policies or practices of any third-party site. A link is not an endorsement, and visiting a linked site is at your own risk under that site's own terms.

8Your responsibility

You use TryCalculatorz and rely on any result at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or reliance on, the site or its calculators. This disclaimer should be read together with our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

Think a result is wrong? Please tell us — we would rather fix it than have anyone rely on a bad number.
